MY APPROACH
No matter the reason you are seeking help, you may have the sense that now is the time to begin. Therapy can help you learn more about yourself, establish goals, and work towards improving your overall sense of well-being.
I approach individual psychotherapy with an empathic drive to help people understand themselves more deeply. During the first few sessions, I take time to learn about my clients’ backgrounds, and we collaborate to determine if working together is the right fit. Going forward, I embrace a balance between targeting the immediate problem and providing space to build a relationship grounded in trust, openness, and flexibility.
I value taking the time to find and acknowledge strengths in my clients that they may not see, and I pay attention to thoughts or feelings that may not be immediately accessible but may emerge in subtle ways. I am thoughtful and warm as I help my clients overcome challenges and seek to gain new insights to build meaning in their lives.
